QeeYou won the Chinese qualifier for ESWC 2015 after seeing off TyLoo 3-1 in the grand final (16-14 on de_overpass, 6-16 on de_dust2 and 16-12 on de_cache and de_train).
Hosted by 5eplay at the In-Star Arena, located in Wuhan, the Chinese ESWC qualifier featured four seeded teams and four sides who came from online preliminary qualifiers held over the last two weeks.
pow, who attended last year's ESWC finals, this time around fell short in the national qualifier as they were downed by TyLoo 0-2 in the semi-final stage. From the other side of the bracket came QeeYou, previously known as Nface, who beat Storm.cn and zzcy en route to the best-of-five title decider.
QeeYou took a 1-0 lead in the series after scraping a 16-14 victory on de_overpass, but TyLoo responded in convincing fashion by cruising to a 16-6 success on de_dust2. The next two maps, de_cache and de_train, were both keenly contested, but in the end the former Nface team picked up back-to-back 16-12 wins to book their place at the ESWC event.
